Abstract:
Provided is a resin composition in which a large quantity of cellulose fibers are dispersed with respect to a base resin. A cellulose fiber master batch according to the present invention contains (A) cellulose fibers and (B) at least one coating composition that is selected from the group consisting of sharp melting crystalline resin materials that have a melting point of from 40°C to 155°C (inclusive), lubricants and dispersants; and this cellulose fiber master batch forms a master batch pellet which has a coating binder layer that is formed from the coating composition (B) on the surfaces of the cellulose fibers (A). In addition, a resin pellet contains (C) a base resin that has a melting point or softening point of from 80°C to 250°C (inclusive) in addition to the master batch; and the resin pellet contains from 60 parts by mass to 2 parts by mass of the cellulose fibers (A) and from 40 parts by mass to 98 parts by mass of the base resin (C) when the total of the cellulose fibers (A) and the base resin (C) is taken as 100 parts by mass.
