Abstract:
Disclosed is a chromatography packing material wherein both flow rate and adsorption characteristics are improved. Disclosed is a chromatography packing material that is particularly suited to the isolation and purification of immunoglobulin in the manufacture of antibody pharmaceuticals. A porous cellulose gel, made by adding polysaccharides with limiting viscosity of 0.21‑0.90 L/g to porous cellulose particles, is used, and the dry weight per unit volume of the aforementioned porous cellulose gel is 1.06‑1.40 times the dry weight per unit volume of the aforementioned porous cellulose particles. Flow rate and adsorption characteristics can be improved by adding a specified quantity of polysaccharides with a specified limiting viscosity to the porous cellulose particles.
