Abstract:
This cemented carbide comprises: first hard-phase particles including WC; second hard-phase particles including a carbonitride containing at least Ti and Nb; and a metal bond phase including an iron group element, wherein the second hard-phase particles each include a granular core part and a peripheral part covering at least a portion of the core part, the core part includes a composite carbonitride represented by Ti1-x-yNbxWyC1-zNz (where the Y is 0-0.05 and the Z is 0.3-0.6), and the peripheral part differs in composition from the core part.
