Abstract:
Video signal processing means (12) inputs digital image data (101) to compressing means (13) and resolution converting means (16). The compressing means (13) outputs the compressed data (102) created by compressing the digital image data (101) through buffer means (17) to output means (14). The resolution converting means (16) outputs new digital image data (104) the resolution of which is lower than that of the digital image data (101) to output means (14). The output means (14) selects either the digital image data (104) after the resolution degradation or buffered compressed data (105) according to the instruction of a selection signal (108) and outputs the selected one as output data (106) at the same signal timing through the same signal line. As a result, a camera device enabling the circuit structure of an external device for receiving the digital image data and the compressed data to be simplified and enabling the circuit control to be simplified is realized.
