CENTERING AND GUIDING DEVICE FOR METAL ROD

A centering and guiding device for a metal rod, which can center, guide and clamp a processed metal rod (13), includes a bracket (4), a flange sleeve (7), a chuck (9) and a guide sleeve (5). The chuck(9) and the flange sleeve(7) are both provided on the bracket (4). The guide sleeve (5) is mounted in the flange sleeve (7) which is centered by the chuck (9). Bearings (12) and shafts (11) are provided on the clamping jaws (14) which are provided in the chuck (9). The chuck (9) is surrounded laterally by a protective jacket (10). The device has high centering precision and it is possible to avoid scratching the surface of the metal rod.
