Abstract:
[Problem] To enable suctioning of more air from the outside into a scroll (S) housing via a gap between the edge of a suction port and the outer peripheral surface of a separation cylinder in a vehicle single-suction type centrifugal blower in which the suction port of the S housing is separated by the separation cylinder. [Solution] A centrifugal blower (1) has: an S housing (17) that has a suction port (22) and stores an impeller (2); and an air intake housing (21) that has an outside air inlet (26) and an inside air inlet (27). A separation cylinder (14) divides air that has been sucked within the S housing into first and second air flows passed through the outside and the inside of the separation cylinder, respectively, and guides the air flows through a first air passage (18) and a second air passage (19). The area size (B2) of an opening 22M in a region (D2) near an outlet (170) of the S housing is larger than the area size (B1) of an opening 22M in a region (D1) near a tongue (17T).
