Abstract:
A centrifugal blower according to the present invention includes a casing (20) and a centrifugal fan (50) that sucks air along a fan axial center (CLf) from a fan suction port (541) and blows the air sucked from the fan suction port in a direction intersecting with the fan axial center. The casing includes a fan accommodating portion (22) in which the centrifugal fan is accommodated and in which an air intake port (221a) for taking in the air is formed in an opposing wall portion (222) opposite to the fan suction port side of the centrifugal fan. The casing includes an introduction path forming portion (24) that forms an air introduction path (240) by which the air from the outside is guided to the centrifugal fan by flowing, between the opposing wall portion and the introduction path forming portion, in a direction intersecting with the fan axial center. At the opposing wall portion, a projecting portion (30) that extends along the fan axial center and projects from the opposing wall portion side toward the air introduction path side is formed at an upstream side peripheral edge portion (228b), which is located on the air flow upstream side of the air introduction path, of the peripheral edge site (228) surrounding at least the air intake port.
