Abstract:
A centrifugal blood pump device comprises an impeller (10) provided in a blood chamber (7), a permanent magnet (15) provided to one surface of the impeller (10), a permanent magnet (16) provided to the inner wall of the blood chamber (7), permanent magnets (17) provided to the other surface of the impeller (10), and magnetic bodies (18) and coils (20) provided in a motor chamber (8) and rotationally driving the impeller (10) with a partition wall (6) therebetween. Dynamic pressure grooves (21, 22) are respectively formed in the partition wall (6) and in the inner wall of the blood chamber (7), and the partition wall (6) and the inner wall face the impeller (10). The configuration allows the impeller (10) to be smoothly rotationally activated by control of a coil current.
