Abstract:
This centrifugal rotary machine is equipped with an impeller (3) provided with a disc (3a), a blade (3c), and a cover (3b). The centrifugal rotary machine is further equipped with a casing (6) for housing the impeller (3) on the inside thereof in the radial direction, and forming a gap between the outer-circumferential surface of the cover (3b) and the casing (6) itself. The centrifugal rotary machine is also equipped with a sealing device (7) for sealing the gap. The casing (6) is provided with an end-wall surface (6f) which: extends in the radial direction; faces a cover end surface (3b1) constituting part of the cover (3b) and facing one side in the axial direction, by being positioned to the one side in the axial direction relative to the cover end surface (3b1); and forms a radial-direction channel (8) between the cover end surface (3b1) and the end-wall surface (6f) itself. The casing (6) also has a foreign-matter intake channel (6g) that is formed inside the casing (6) and is contiguous with the radial-direction channel (8) on the radial direction outside thereof.
