Abstract:
A centrifuge (70) is provided with a cup (80) for accommodating a blood bag system (10a). The centrifuge (70) causes the cup (80) to spin, and thereby centrifuges blood in the blood bag system (10a). The cup (80) has a segment holder (86) capable of holding a plurality of segment tubes (44a) along the direction in which centrifugal force acts during the centrifuging process, or in a direction set obliquely with respect to the direction in which the centrifugal force acts, the segment tubes (44a) being folded into a parallel arrangement with the sealing portions (44b) of output-side tubes (44).
