[Problem] The present invention provides a centrifuge for separating particles with differences in specific gravity such as when particles with a small specific gravity and particles with a large specific gravity, such as Si hydrates and abrasives, are separated. [Solution] A turbid solution of Si hydrate particles with small specific gravity and abrasive particles with large specific gravity is continuously supplied through a nozzle in a rotating tank (1), and the turbid solution of Si hydrate particles with a small specific gravity and abrasive particles with large specific gravity rises along the inside wall surface of the rotating tank (1) because of centrifugal force. The Si hydrate particles with the small specific gravity rise on the inside wall surface of the rotating tank (1) because of the difference in specific gravity and are discharged to a rotating body holder (9) side following a ring (5) from a deformed hole through the back side of a rotating body cover (2) and the surface of the rotating body cover (2). The abrasive particles, which have a large specific gravity, adhere to the inside wall surface of the rotating tank (1) because of the difference in specific gravity.
