Abstract:
A ceramic base suited for use as a circuit base for mounting an integrated circuit chip, which substantially comprises 0.5 to 5.0 wt.% of MgO and 95.0 to 99.5 wt.% of the sum of Al2O3 and SiO2 based on the weight of the base, with the weight ratio of Al2O3 to SiO2 being 50: 50 to 80: 20.
