Abstract:
Disclosed is a ceramic filter that is provided with a porous base material (3), "which has a partition wall (1) that partitions a plurality of cells (2) that extend from one end (11) to the other end (12) and which is ceramic material"; separating membranes (21), "which are disposed on the wall surfaces inside the cells (2) and are ceramic material"; and glass seals (31) that are disposed on the surface of the one end (11) and on the surface of the other end (12) "so as not to block the openings of the cells (2)." In the glass seals (31), ceramic particles are dispersed for which the coefficient of thermal expansion is 90-110% of the coefficient of thermal expansion of the glass contained in the glass seals (31). The ceramic filter can be used for long periods in high temperature conditions.
