Abstract:
A oxygen transport membrane assembly (214) is disclosed. The oxygen transport membrane assembly comprises a plurality of oxygen transport membrane repeating units (204). Each oxygen transport membrane repeating unit (204) comprises two or more oxygen transport membrane tubes coupled together and configured to be in fluid communication with either a feed manifold (268) and an exhaust manifold (264). The oxygen transport membrane tubes have a permeate side located on an interior surface of the tube and a retentate side located on an exterior surface of the tube. A multi-pass catalytic reforming tube reactor comprising a serpentine shaped reforming tube is disclosed. An oxygen transport membrane isolation valve assembly comprising a housing, a restraining pin or structure disposed in the housing and a ceramic ball disposed in the flow path of the housing is also disclosed.
