Title:
CERAMIC SINTERED BODY AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/099397
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Disclosed is a multilayer ceramic substrate having high flexural strength. Specifically, a ceramic sintered body, which contains crystal phases of quartz, alumina, fresnoite, sanbornite and celsian, and wherein the relation between the diffraction peak intensity (A) of the (201) plane of the fresnoite crystal phase and the diffraction peak intensity (B) of the (110) plane of the quartz crystal phase as determined by a powder X-ray diffraction method within the diffraction peak angle 2θ range of 10-40˚ satisfies A/B ≥ 2.5, is used as a ceramic sintered body configuring a ceramic layer (2) of a multilayer ceramic substrate (1). It is preferable that the average crystal grain size of the fresnoite crystal phase is 5 μm or less. In a firing step for obtaining the above-described ceramic sintered body, the highest temperature is set to be within the range of 980-1000˚C.
