Abstract:
Provided is a cermet in which hard phases that include Ti are bound by binder phases that include at least one of Ni and Co, wherein in an observation field taken in any cross section of the cermet and including 200 or more hard phases, among the hard phases present within the observation field, the particle diameter of 70% or more of the hard phases with respect to the total number of hard phases is within ±30% of the average particle diameter of all of the hard phases.
