Abstract:
Provided are: a chaff-containing molded article which has excellent properties such as mechanical strength and excellent recyclability without a need for strictly controlling the moisture content of chaffs or conducting a specific dewatering treatment; and a method for efficiently producing the same.
A chaff-containing molded article having a bending modulus measured in accordance with JIS K 7171 of 800-3000 MPa and a method for producing the same. The chaff-containing molded article is produced by blending 100 parts by weight of chaffs that are obtained as a farm waste with 30-200 parts by weight of a recycled polyethylene resin (a film-shaped ground material) that is employed as a binder resin, and then molding the resultant mixture by heat compression into a definite shape, wherein the heat compression is conducted under such conditions as to darken the recycled polyethylene resin.
