Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a chain guide 7 configured so as to guide a chain 5 so that the link plates 5A of the chain 5 will not move out of alignment with straight sections 22A on the outer peripheral surfaces of rollers 17, thereby preventing abnormal wear from occurring on the outer diameter of the rollers 17. The chain guide 7 comprises: a guide base 15 comprising a pair of side plates 18 extending in the travelling direction of the chain 5; a plurality of roller shafts 16 mounted to the guide base 15 at a distance from each other in the travelling direction of the chain 5; and rollers 17 respectively rotatably supported by the roller shafts 16. The outer peripheral surface of each of the rollers 17 comprises a center straight section 22A and circular arc-shaped rounded sections 22B which are provided to the opposite ends of the straight section 22A. The facing surfaces of the pair of side plates 18 are provided with guide sections 27 for conducting the travelling chain 5 to the straight sections 22A of the outer peripheral surfaces of the rollers 17.
