Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the quietness of a chain transmission device that uses a rolling-type chain guide. Provided is a chain transmission device having chain guides (6, 7) in which a plurality of chain-guiding rollers (8)are disposed, wherein when the maximum excitation frequency from a crankshaft (1) is ωmax (Hz), the mass per unit length of a chain (5) is ρ (kg/m), and the time-averaged tension of the chain (5) is T (N), the inter contact-point distance L (m) in a stretch-over portion of the chain (5) is set to satisfy an inequality (1).
