Abstract:
Provided is a backrest (20) which is connected to a leg part (5) of a chair (10), and which is provided with a back frame (21), a face material (22) disposed so as to cover the back frame (21), a lumbar support member (23) disposed at a site rearward of the face material (22), and a support part(24) for supporting the lumbar support member (23), wherein: the back frame (21) has a pair of flexible side frame sections (31, 32) and a lower frame section (34) which connects between the lower ends of the pair of side frame sections (31, 32), and is connected to the leg part (5) via a lower part of the back frame (21); and the support part (24) has a pair of support arms (51, 52) extending upward from the portions corresponding to right and left ends of the lumbar support member (23) in the lower frame section (34) so as to support both the right and left ends of the lumbar support member (23).
