Abstract:
A chair is provided with a support device (101), a seat (102), and a backrest (103). The height and opening angle of branched legs (110, 111) of the support device (101) are designed so as to be capable of longitudinal nesting. The backrest (103) tilts rearward about the axial center of an upper spindle (117) disposed on the upper end of a support frame (119). The seat (102) is attached to a movable base (104) so as to be freely slid in the longitudinal direction, the movable base (104) being connected to the support frame (119) so as to be freely raised and turned. When the backrest (103) tilts rearward, a receiving arm (142) of a support stay (140) is pressed and the seat (102) moves forward. Since the seat moves forward during rocking, the chair has excellent relaxation characteristics and is also capable of nesting.
