Abstract:
Provided are a channel switching method and device, which relate to the field of communications, and aim to prevent the time being spent on channel switching from being too long and improving the user experience. The channel switching method comprises the following steps: when a channel needs switching, maintaining a connection between a first channel of an access point supporting multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) and a user equipment, wherein the access point supporting MIMO comprises at least two channels, one of the channels being the first channel (11); determining a channel needing switching from the channels of the access point supporting MIMO (12); and switching the connection between the access point supporting MIMO and the user equipment to the channel needing switching (13). The present invention can be used in channel switching techniques.
