Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for continuously inputting characters through keys having a plurality of characters arranged on each of them, on a keyboard for inputting characters through a multi-tap method. The method according to the present invention of inputting relevant characters by successively pressing keys in a continuous manner uses the time between keys to divide one successive stroke at suitable positions and make the successive stroke two successive strokes. The character inputting method according to the present invention does not wait until a successive stroke acknowledging time elapses and does not use a successive stroke end key, but allows successive strokes to be continuously entered so as to allow characters to be quickly input. When the character inputting method according to the present invention is used, relevant successive stroke inputs can be made at any time for all characters on a keyboard that uses a multi-tap method, in order to provide consistency, speed, and simplicity to the character inputting method.
