Abstract:
A method or the like capable of thinning a font properly on the basis of the contour information of an outline front and subjecting the thinned font to a special effect variously. The computer system comprises a path exchanging unit (18) for judging whether or not the element structure constructing the polygonal cyclic graphic path of the outline font crosses an element structure constructing another graphic path, a adding an intersection at the cross if the element structure cross, and exchanging the path at the intersection, a path erasing unit (19) for erasing another polygonal graphic path included completely in one polygonal graphic path and having the same cyclic direction, and a thinning unit (20) for thinning the outline font by eliminating the character width of the element structure constructing the polygonal cyclic graphic path.
