Abstract:
A steering angle zero point detection unit (102) detects the zero point of the steering angle of a steering wheel. A zero point history retention unit (104) records the detection history of the zero point. A characteristic change determination unit (116) determines whether the characteristics of the steering transmission system have changed on the basis of the width of the zero point detection history.
