Abstract:
The present invention provides a charge control agent which contains, as an active component, one or more hydantoin derivatives represented by general formula (1) [wherein R1 and R2 may be the same or different and are each a hydrogen atom, optionally substituted linear or branched C1-8 alkyl, or the like; R3 is a hydrogen atom or the like; R4 to R8 may be the same or different and are each a hydrogen atom, a chlorine atom, optionally substituted linear or branched C1-8 alkyl, optionally substituted linear or branched C1-8 alkyloxy, or the like; R3 to R8 may be bonded to each other to form a ring; and V, W, X, Y and Z are each a carbon atom or a nitrogen atom, with the proviso that none or one to three of V, W, X, Y and Z are nitrogen atoms, these nitrogen atoms not having R4 to R8 as substituent].
