Abstract:

A charge control device comprising: a prediction unit that predicts change, over time, in battery temperature during charging; a calculation unit that, on the basis of the temperature change over time as predicted by the prediction unit, calculates the degree of impact on the battery of the battery temperature exceeding a predetermined upper limit temperature control value; and a charging control unit that allows the battery temperature to exceed the upper limit temperature and charges the battery, if the degree of impact is smaller than a predetermined reference value.
