Abstract:
This charging apparatus (1) is the charging apparatus for performing charging of a storage battery (21) of an electric vehicle (2), and has: a first relay (11) that generates a communication start signal for starting communication between the charging apparatus (1) and the electric vehicle (2); a cable (14) that electrically connects the charging apparatus (1) and the electric vehicle (2), and that has a connector (13) at one end; and a controller (15) that controls the first relay (11) and starts the abovementioned communication before insertion or upon insertion of the connector (13) in a plug (22) provided in the electric vehicle (2).
