Abstract:
Disclosed are a charging control method and a discharging control method for an electricity storage device, by which variations in the interterminal voltage of an electric double-layer capacitor can be suppressed without using a parallel monitor by switching series-parallel connections exclusively. In the charging control method, the block voltage (Vb), which is the sum of the interterminal voltage (Vc) of two electric double layer capacitors that form a block, is compared for each block during the elapse of a prescribed interval of time (Ti). In addition, k blocks are connected in parallel in order from the block with the highest block voltage (Vb), and the connection modes of the electric double-layer capacitors of the other (n-k) blocks are switched in a manner such that the blocks are connected in series. Furthermore, the comparison of the block voltages (Vb) and switching of the block connection modes are repeated for each interval of time (Ti) until the output voltage (Vt) of an electricity storage unit (21) reaches the upper limit (VU) of the acceptable input voltage range of a power converter (22).
