Abstract:
This charging device comprises a charger, a resistance-type heater, and a cooling unit. The charger is connected to an external power source and supplies electricity to the battery. The resistance-type heater is connected to the charger and converts the power from the charger into heat. The cooling unit causes a cooling medium to flow from the charger toward the battery and cools the charger and the battery with the cooling medium. When charging the battery under an environment at a predetermined temperature or lower, the power from the charger is supplied to the resistance-type heater and the heat generated at the charger is transmitted via the cooling medium to the battery.
