Abstract:
A charging device of the present invention has a DC-DC converter, a switching unit, and a charge control circuit. The DC-DC converter performs transformation with respect to direct current power inputted from an external direct current power supply. The switching unit performs switching whether to supply the direct current power to a battery via the DC-DC converter, said direct current power having been inputted from the external direct current power supply, or to supply the direct current power to the battery not via the DC-DC converter, said direct current power having been inputted from the external direct current power supply. The charge control circuit controls the switching unit. The charge control circuit controls the switching unit so that the direct current power inputted from the direct current power supply is supplied to the battery via the DC-DC converter in the cases where the voltage of the battery is lower than the lowest output voltage of the external direct current power supply.
