Abstract:
A charging method, adapter, and mobile terminal. The method comprises: upon connection of an adapter (700) to a mobile terminal (800) by means of a charging interface, the adapter communicates with the mobile terminal to determine a charging mode, wherein a power wire in the charging interface is used to charge a battery, a data wire in the charging interface is used for communication between the adapter and the mobile terminal, the charging mode comprises a fast charging mode and a normal charging mode, and the charging speed of the fast charging mode is greater than the charging speed of the normal charging mode; if it is determined that the fast charging mode is employed to charge a battery, then adapter communicates with the mobile terminal to determine a charging current corresponding to the fast charging mode; and the adapter uses, according to the charging current corresponding to the fast charging mode, a unidirectional pulsating output current to fast charge the battery.
