Abstract:
Provided are a charging method and a charger. The method comprises: the charger determining, according to an identifier of a terminal, a charging protocol supported by the terminal; the charger determining, according to the identifier of the terminal, the number of times the terminal is charged; the charger determining a charging policy according to the number of times the terminal is charged, the remaining power and the supported charging protocol; and the charger charging the terminal according to the charging policy. It can be seen therefrom that, by means of implementing the technical solution provided by the present invention, a charging policy can be determined according to the number of times the terminal is charged, the remaining power and the supported charging protocol, and the terminal is charged according to the policy, wherein the policy includes a fast charge period and a slow charge period, thereby ensuring successful charging and prolonging the lifetime of a battery.
