Abstract:
A charging method and system that applies to wireless communication field for
prepaid service is provided. The method comprises that: step 1, mobile switch
center emulation acquires registration information of user from home location
register; step 2, the mobile switch center emulation sends call request originated
from the calling user terminal to prepaid server based on the registration information,
then the prepaid server sends invite message to the mobile switch center emulation
to request call establishment to called user terminal; and step 3, the mobile
switch center emulation establishes call connection to the called user terminal,
and the prepaid server begins real-time charging after the mobile switch center
emulation entered into communication state. The invention realizes prepaid
charging service by using SIP protocol and prepaid server PPS.
