Abstract:

A charging method and system for the Push to talk over Cellular system are disclosed. The charging method comprises: after sending an initial online charging request message to an online charging system, receiving the initial online charging response message carrying a switch triggering variable of the downlink radio channel type sent by the online charging system; monitoring the downlink radio channel type used by the Push to talk over Cellular service according to the switch triggering variable of the downlink radio channel type; sending an online charging request message which includes the downlink radio channel type after switch to the online charging system if the switch of the downlink radio channel type used by the Push to talk over Cellular service is monitored. With such solution, it can achieve precisely and reasonably charging for the Push to talk over Cellular user when a channel switch occurs in the Push to talk over Cellular client.
