Abstract:
This invention provides a charging roller that can form a high-quality toner
image. The charging roller comprises a support shaft and at least one resin layer
provided on the circumferential surface of the support shaft. The resin layer
comprises a base resin material and a carbon black dispersed in the base resin
material. The carbon black has a number average particle diameter of Feret's
diameters of 5 to 300 nm and contains not less than 5%, on the basis of number of particles,
of primary particles.
