Abstract:
Provided is a chassis dynamometer capable of improving the constancy of vehicle height with respect to the floor. The chassis dynamometer is provided with a displacement unit for displacing either the load rollers (2) or the free rollers (3) relative to the other. With the load rollers (2) positioned relative to the vehicle wheels (22), the displacement unit moves the free rollers (3) along the circumferential direction of the vehicle wheels (22) in the direction towards the load rollers (2) to reduce the load applied on the load rollers (2), and moves the free rollers (3) along the circumferential direction of the vehicle wheels (22) in the direction away from the load rollers (2) to increase the load applied on the load rollers (2).
