Abstract:
This chattering detection method for a cold rolling mill involves a measurement step for measuring vibration in the cold rolling mill, a calculation step in which, for a vibration time waveform measured in the measurement step, calculates a time waveform of vibration intensity by performing a frequency analysis with a prescribed period not longer than the time that periodic vibration continues without converging, and a predictive vibration determination step in which, on the basis of the number of points at which the vibration intensity included in the vibration intensity time waveform calculated in the calculation step is greater than a prescribed threshold value, vibration in the cold rolling mill that is predictive of chattering is detected.
