Abstract:
Provided is a check valve which is provided between an inflow space and a discharge space, permits the flow of fluid from the inflow space to the discharge space, and prevents the flow of fluid from the discharge space to the inflow space. The check valve is provided with: a diaphragm provided separating the inflow space and the discharge space from each other and having formed therein a through-hole for providing communication between the inflow space and the discharge space; and a closure surface in contact with the upstream-side surface of the diaphragm so as to close the through-hole. The closure surface has a larger area than the through-hole and is provided substantially parallel to the diaphragm. The diaphragm has flexibility which enables the diaphragm to be displaced between a close-contact position at which the diaphragm is in close-contact with the closure surface to disable the flow of fluid, and a separated position at which the diaphragm is separated from the closure surface so that fluid can flow through the through-hole.
