Abstract:
A chemical battery with a metal negative electrode covered by an insulating material. The chemical battery comprises a metal negative electrode and a positive battery electrode. The metal negative electrode and the positive battery electrode face each other without contact, and there is an electrolyte therebetween. The metal negative electrode comprises a metal negative electrode substrate (2) and an insulating layer (3). The insulating layer covers the metal negative electrode substrate. A metal negative electrode substrate region not covered by the insulating layer is disposed on the opposite side of the metal negative electrode facing the positive battery electrode, and the metal negative electrode substrate located in this region is exposed in the electrolyte and faces the positive battery electrode to generate an electric field. The utilization rate of a metal negative electrode material during battery discharge can be significantly improved, and the heat and hydrogen evolution during the battery discharge and when the battery stops discharging and drains are greatly reduced, thereby implementing long-term stable and safe discharge of the battery and ensuring the safety when the battery stops discharging.
