Abstract:
Provided is a chemical heat storage material which stores heat by utilizing a dehydration reaction of a hydroxide of an alkaline earth metal, while exhibiting higher reaction rate, and which enables heat storage at lower temperatures. A chemical heat storage material according to the present invention contains a hydroxide and/or an oxide of an alkaline earth metal, and an acid salt of a metal. This chemical heat storage material additionally contains a compound of an alkali metal; and it is preferable that the amount of the compound of an alkali metal is 0.1-50% by mole relative to the hydroxide and/or the oxide of an alkaline earth metal. It is also preferable that the amount of the acid salt of a metal is 0.05-30% by mole relative to the hydroxide and/or the oxide of an alkaline earth metal.
