Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a large-area chemically toughened glass sheet which does not tend to break when an external force is applied to the surface even when flaws are introduced on the surface. The present invention provides a chemically toughened glass sheet (10) having a first major surface (11a) and a second major surface (11b) opposing the first major surface (11a), wherein surface compressive stress is formed on the first major surface (11a) and the second major surface (11b) and tensile stress is formed inside the glass sheet. The first major surface (11a) and the second major surface (11b) are both rectangular, and the first major surface (11a) and the second major surface (11b) both have an area of 0.5 m2 or more. When the four sides of the chemically toughened glass sheet (10) are simply supported and a uniform load q (N/mm2) is applied, at least one of the first major surface (11a) and the second major surface (11b) satisfies a specific formula. The uniform load q is 100 N/mm2 or more.
