Title:
CHEST-IMAGE-BASED SARCOPENIA DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CRITICALLY ILL PATIENTS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2024/043356
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a chest-image-based sarcopenia diagnosis system and method for critically ill patients, and may comprise: a data acquisition unit for acquiring and storing, as a dataset, at least one from among a chest image, body information, immunity information, nutrition information, and sarcopenia severity through interworking with an external device; a chest image analysis unit for extracting a respiratory muscle from the chest image, and generating and outputting a respiratory muscle index (RMI) on the basis of the volume of the respiratory muscle; a training data generation unit, which acquires and stores a plurality of datasets by classifying the plurality of datasets according to sarcopenia severity, and then replaces each of chest images in the datasets with the RMI, and generates a plurality of training data points having the RMI, body information, immunity information, and nutrition information as input conditions and having sarcopenia severity as an output condition; a prediction model training unit for training, through machine learning using the plurality of training data points, a prediction model implemented by means of an artificial neural network; an analysis data generation unit for replacing the chest image with the RMI, and then generating analysis data including the RMI, body information, immunity information, and nutrition information, if a chest image, body information, immunity information, and nutrition information of a patient to be diagnosed are acquired; and a sarcopenia diagnosis unit for predicting sarcopenia severity corresponding to the analysis data through the prediction model, and informing of same.
