Abstract:
A child accompanying robot (100), comprising: a playback module (102), for playing back multimedia according to an interaction control signal so as to attract a child's attention; a camera monitoring module (108), for monitoring the current position and current activity of the child; a processing module (106), for generating a tracking control signal and an interaction control signal according to the monitored current position and current activity, and determining whether the child is about to leave a safe area; and a motor module (104), for enabling the child accompanying robot to follow the child according to the tracking control signal. When it is determined that a dangerous situation is about to occur, the processing module (106) generates a tracking control signal and an interaction control signal so as to guide the child back to the safe area. The child accompanying robot and the operation method therefor can effectively ensure the child's safety, and keep them away dangerous areas.
