Provided are a child virtual smart device and a method for operating same, said device comprising: a smart base (1) and a smart terminal (2), said smart terminal (2) being mounted on said smart base (1); the top and bottom of the smart base (1) are each provided with a rotating part (101); the smart terminal (2) is internally provided with a server and a client; the server is connected to the client; the server is internally provided with a speech recognition module, a semantic parsing module, a user-data center, a learning module, an entertainment module, and a lifestyle module; the speech recognition module is connected to the client, the semantic parsing module, the learning module, the entertainment module, and the lifestyle module; the semantic parsing module is connected to the client and the user-data center. The device solves the problems of feedback during interaction being too simple, functionality being too simple, and expandability being weak; the lifestyle, learning, and entertainment modules are added so that the invention provides assistance to the user in the areas of learning, lifestyle, and habits, enriching the modes of interaction and feedback, enhancing functionality, and improving expandability.
