Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a chip cleanup robot that can have versatility in terms of application to various kinds of machine tools and is capable of automatically cleaning a wide area with efficiency. To this end, provided is a chip cleanup robot (20) that travels along a traveling route that is set on the upper surface (13a) of a table (13) of a machine tool (10) to clean up chips that are scattered over the top surface (13a) during machining of a workpiece (W) that is mounted on the table, said chip cleanup robot (20) being equipped with: a robot body (21) that autonomously travels on the upper surface (13a); a rotary brush (43) that rotates from bottom to top toward the front in the traveling direction in order to sweep out the chips frontward in the traveling direction; and a blade (44) that scoops out chips that have passed through the rotary brush (43) toward the front in the traveling direction so as to move the chips to the rotation area of the rotary brush (43).
