Abstract:
A chlorine dioxide production device (1) is provided with: a diaphragm electrolytic cell (2) that comprises an anode chamber (3) and a cathode chamber (5) and that subjects an anolyte solution containing a chlorite that is supplied to the anode chamber (3) to electrolysis treatment in order to generate chlorine dioxide; a flow path section (C) that connects the anode chamber (3) and the cathode chamber (5); a discharge section (D) that connects the cathode chamber (5) with the outside; an aeration means (14) that supplies an aeration gas to the anode chamber such that the supplied amount of said aeration gas is freely adjustable; and a neutralizing means (12) that supplies a neutralizing agent to at least one of the cathode chamber (5) and the discharge section (D).
