Abstract:
A chloroprene rubber composition obtained by adding 0.8-4 parts by weight of 2,4,6-trimercapto-s-triazine and 0.5-4.5 parts by weight of tetrabenzylthiuram disulfide to 100 parts by weight of chloroprene rubber. This chloroprene rubber composition, without requiring the use of a crosslinking system including any substance classified as environmental control subjects, not only retains processability (scorch time) and production efficiency (crosslinking speed) which are substantially the same as those attained with conventional crosslinking systems but also attains improvements in physical properties including strength, elongation, and compression set characteristics.
