Abstract:

A choke coil used in electronic equipment, etc., for consumer and industrial uses as a countermeasure against harmonic distortion. The choke coil comprises a first magnetic core (1) forming a closed or open magnetic circuit, a second magnetic core (2), a first coil (3a), a second coil (4a), and a third coil (5a). The first coil (3a) is wound around the first core (1), the second coil (4a) around the second core (2), and the third coil (5a) around the first and second cores (1 and 2), thus forming a magnetic circuit. The inductance value required to prevent harmonic distortion is ensured and the function of a common-mode choke coil is provided. The degree of coupling is high, the size of the coil is small, and the leakage fluxes are small.
