Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a chromatic harmonica capable of creating extremely loud, clear sound through simple structural improvement.
[Solution] A chromatic harmonica comprises: a main body 1 composed of a plurality of whistle chambers 11 arranged vertically in two rows to be opened forward as a blow openings 10; reed plates 2A, 2B secured to the top and bottom of the main body 1 and provided with a blow reed 21 and a draw reed 22 corresponding to each whistle chamber 11; covers 3A, 3B secured to the outside of both reed plates 2A, 2B; a mouthpiece 4 arranged on the front side of the main body 1 and having a plurality of blow holes 40 each communicating with each pair of the upper and lower blow openings 10, 10; and a slide lever 5 slidably interposed between the main body 1 and the mouthpiece 4 and having a plurality of vent holes 50a, 50b that allows selective communication between each whistle chamber 11 and each blow hole 40. The front side of each whistle chamber 11 in the main body 1 is formed to gradually narrow the right and left width toward the blow opening 10.
